“ This has been one of my favorite restaurants in Indy and it had been several years since I've been. I went back in early Feb 2025 and it. Did. Not. Disappoint. From extremely friendly employees taking orders at the front to plenty of seating to choose from, I had a great experience from the moment I walked in. The restaurant had tons of people popping in to pick up takeout orders and lots of people choosing to dine in, but I never felt rushed nor did it feel crowded. I ordered the beef and broccoli and it was fantastic. I was surprised that there were also carrots and onions, but they were well cooked and added to my enjoyment of the meal. I sampled the chicken fried rice and was impressed by the large chunks of chicken found in the dish. I ordered a side of vegetable soup and it did look quite different than the photo, which was a little disappointing. I was expecting a lot of carrots and instead, there were only 2 in my entire bowl. Overall though, I still enjoyed my food tremendously. I'm looking forward to coming back for a lunch meal, which includes a smaller portion of an entree, egg roll or crab Rangoon, and egg drop or sweet and sour soup, all for under $10. Be warned - the draft or air flow can make the doors to the restaurants hard to open, so be prepared to tug. Once you make it through the doors though, you won't be disappointed. Don't forget to grab an extra fortune cookie out of the basket near the door on your way out! ”

“ The food was absolutely amazing. My husband had the sczhewan chicken, the flavors were so good, best hes had, right spices, wasn't too spicy, felt it was made with care and love lol. I had the beef pho, omg hands down best pho I've ever had!!! Service was really good because when I was asking them about the menu, they were so helpful in explaining. Full service resto! Staff was fast and efficient. Food came in record breaking time. It's like a nice fast food resto vibes which was nice. ”

“ Arguably the best Viet, Thai, and American Chinese in town and all at one location! There are certain consistencies in the world su as, the sun rises in the east and sets in the west, etc., plus Egg Roll #1 will be so busy on Saturday that they have to close for at least an hour to get the food restocked, clean the whole place, and give the staff a break to make it through the night. The Pho is always top-flight, the Thai is always on point, and the Chinese superior. The front line is a madhouse at peak times but they handle it with a smile. This is not a fancy restaurant but I love it on casual date nights! ”

“ We stop by Egg Roll Number 1 every time we are in Indy. There are so many choices that everyone can get what they like. My husband and I usually order Vietnamese food, but our son gets Thai or Chinese food. They have new dishes to try or old favorites. The restaurant is always packed and bustling, but we never feel rushed. The staff and owners are always so kind. Food is delivered to your table quickly and always freshly prepared. If you love Asian cuisine, you must give Egg Roll Number 1 a try. ”

“ Nothing cures a hangover like a bowl of pho. This place was packed for lunchtime on Saturday and I can see why! The pho was sooo good. Coming from California where there are vietnamese restaurants literally everywhere, I was excited to finally eat at my first one in Indy after living here for over a year. It did not disappoint!! The flavor of the broth, noodles, and all the fixings were very authentic and I was happily surprised at how generous they were with the meat in my pho! The prices are also very affordable. We also ordered spring rolls. They had shredded lettuce in them which I thought was interesting (I've never seen that before), but my boyfriend said they were good! Quick, friendly service, good prices, and great food. ”

They are my favourites and will order that every single time. I've also had the chicken pho, and lo mein. Everything I've had is delicious and nothing ever disappoints. “ Egg Roll #1.... Reliable, reasonable, delicious Asian food destination! Please don't change, and please don't go anywhere! I have been coming here for about 5 years now, and I never had a negative experience in this restaurant. Always fresh and fast, great variety of dishes. I usually get pad see ew or pho, but tonight I tried Mi Kho. It is a noodle dish that comes with soup and veggies. I loved it. It had. A LOT of pork and shrimp. I cannot believe this is under $10 !! The best value. ”
